Well first off the bat, my name is Arika, pronounced the same way as Erica. I am starting this blog to help me keep track of my projects and to connect with other people. I have always had an inclination towards all things crafty. Name the craft, I've likely tried it. Mind you weaving, tatting, and spinning are still on my to-do list.
My main crafts are crocheting, knitting, and sewing, but I also enjoy beading, needle felting, quilting, painting, and embroidery. I started crocheting in 2010 after my parents bought me a Klutz Learn to Crochet book for Christmas thinking it would keep me busy for a couple weeks before being cast aside. Well weeks have turned into years and I don't see myself stopping any time soon. The following Christmas I took up knitting.
My other hobbies consist of swing dancing (put on hold due to health issues), playing piano, eating, vintage hunting, studying vintage history, and photography.
My favorite colors are burgundy, wine, burnt orange, mustard, lemon, sage, forest green, moss green, pistachio, teal, navy, turquoise, mauve, lilac, pink, pastels, and chocolate brown. So basically any color?

My faith in Christ is very important to me. I am a mess, but I'm God's mess. I hope to also use this blog as a timeline in my faith as I grow.
